Recently released health statistics have resulted in more demand for community based health programmes then ever. With growing attention on New Zealand’s intensifying obesity rates, Sport Wellington’s health programmes have surpassed a number of annual objectives, achieving 8 out of 9 contracted key performance indicators for their Green Prescription service and 9 out of 9 for their Active Families programme.  Read More>>

Great news for two athletes who are a part of the Wellington City Council Talent ID Programme. Congratulations to Whitney Souness for being named in the Haier Pulse squad for 2015. It’s awesome to see a locally developed player make the local franchise squad! Well done! Also, congratulations to Kurtis Imrie for placing 5th in the K1 1000m at the World Junior Canoe Championships in Hungary. Its great to see Wellington talent succeeding on the international stage!
