Local Hutt City clubs thanked by Lotto Sport Makers

Stokes Valley Rugby Club and Naenae Old Boys Cricket Club are the latest recipients of Sport Wellingtons good practice award. The clubs have both received $1000 worth of ‘Sport Makers’ sporting goods as part of the ‘Thank a Sport Maker’ campaign. Sport Wellington acknowledges the clubs for demonstrating outstanding teamwork and leadership, on and off the field. Read More>>

Get Involved! Bowls Wellington is keen to see Coaching in clubs become a key element of the bowls environment. A Foundation Coach Course is to be run at Stokes Valley BC on Sunday 23 August. The course will be run by a qualified Bowls NZ Coach Developer who will highlight the coach's role and show alternative fun games as well as basic delivery. Sports Legend Andy Leslie was recently awarded the Wellington Community Trust Lifetime Contribution Award at our 2015 Sport Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards - and it was well deserved!
