The Swimming Wellington 'All Stars' Elite Team, which WHiPA is proud to sponsor, has been selected to be part of the Wellington City Council Talent ID Programme (WCC TiD) which is administered by the Sport Wellington Performance Hub.
The Talent ID programme works with identified athletes on developing core foundation level skills required to train, compete, balancie study with training, family life and peer contact. The project is planned around developing the athlete’s ability in and out of the water.
The 11 athletes that have been selected for the programme in 2015 are:

Get Involved! Bowls Wellington is keen to see Coaching in clubs become a key element of the bowls environment.
A Foundation Coach Course is to be run at Stokes Valley BC on Sunday 23 August. The course will be run by a qualified Bowls NZ Coach Developer who will highlight the coach's role and show alternative fun games as well as basic delivery.

Congratulations to Stokes Valley RFC and Naenae Old Boys Cricket Club who are the latest recipients of Sport Wellington's good practice award.
Both clubs received $1000 worth of ‘Sport Maker’ sporting goods as part of the ‘Thank a Sport Maker’ campaign.
Sport Wellington acknowledges the clubs for demonstrating outstanding teamwork and leadership, on and off the field.
