Pukaha Mount Bruce Wildlife Centre has opened up its back country to a new and very special event. Home to over 50 kiwi, at least 30 Kokako, and more than150 Kaka, the Breadcraft Wild Challenge Pukaha is a 10km trail run through forest and bush teeming with wildlife, followed by a 23km cycle ride along country roads.
Proceeds from the event will go towards helping to restore and maintain the Pukaha forest and it’s birdlife.
