Hosted by Parafed Wellington and Boccia New Zealand in October this year, the New Zealand National Championships is seen as the most important Boccia tournament open to anyone with a physical disability across New Zealand. It is one of four sanctioned tournaments held each year in which players can compete and earn national ranking points.
Information for this event is now available on the Boccia NZ website.
The Kids Cross Country Series run by Athletics Wellington and local athletics clubs is back again this year! Last year 200 kids took part and this year they’ve opened it up to the younger age groups with races now for year 1s through to year 8s.
Held at various venues around the Wellington region, the first event is Sunday 11 May at Karori Park.
With school cross country season in full swing it’s a great opportunity to take part in these cross country events throughout the winter season. You don’t need to be a club member to take part. Everyone is welcome!
