The Sport Wellington staff like a good burger as much as anyone else, especially during VWOAP! So it was great to head out as a team to WHG's bar Munchen on the waterfront and try their Die Königin Burger. Might be something you'd like to do this weekend after sport 😋 #SportWgtnteam Wellington On a Plate

It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to a man selflessly dedicated to Wellington Basketball. Justin Toebes has been involved in the sport for over 4 decades and was the deserved recipient of the 2017 Lifetime Contribution to Sport award. Thoughts are with Wellington Saints and Justin's family.

Kia ora Sport Wellington We were wondering if you could help our two Year 4 classes at Wellesley College in Lower Hutt. We have started a project focusing on mental health. We are doing this to fundraise to buy BIKES!!! for a nearby local school in need, Randwick School. We love bikes too and feel every NZ kid deserves to have their own bike. As we are only allowing people to donate $1 per person, the only way we can succeed is if people help spread what it is we are doing, we were hoping that you may be able to support us by posting a link to our project on your Facebook page to help us get the support we need. This video on our Facebook page will give you a great idea of what we are doing: https://www.facebook.com/donateadollardaynz/videos/540286476366293/ We really are having trouble getting the support our awesome project needs to succeed. If there is anything else you can help us with in regard to our project, or if you need further information, please contact us through Facebook, or you can email us at donateadollarday@wellesley.school.nz Thank you! Awesome to see so many of our Sport Wellington Active Families taking part in the Magic Mile on Sunday! Not only did they brave the cold, wind and rain to participate, they also managed it with a big smile. Many of our whānau achieved their personal goals including; running half the course, not complaining and completing the run as a family. Ka pai!! 😊

An Active Family is a Healthy Family

Green Prescription (GRx) Active Families is a free programme that helps you and your children create a healthier lifestyle by becoming more active and learning about healthy eating.

Our team of Healthy Lifestyles Co-ordinators help your family to set goals and get involved in fun physical activities that you can enjoy together.

Healthy eating advice will be offered and in certain areas, you have the chance to meet and have fun with other children and families who are also part of the programme at weekly activity sessions.

We want to support children and their families who are ready for change to be healthier and to have fun together. Active children have more energy, feel stronger, fitter and more confident, sleep better, and are able to concentrate and participate more fully in school activities and grow into healthier adults.
