Sport Wellington has regular contact with National Sporting Orgainsations (NSO's), Regional Sporting Organisations (RSO's) and their clubs.  This is done in a variety of ways including: The Online Connecting Sport Newsletter, Coaches Breakfasts, Workshops, RSO Luncheons and Forums.

What is an NSO?

The National Sport Organisation (NSO) is a governing body for a specific sport or sports at national level.  The NSO governs the RSO's throughout the country.

What is an RSO?

A Regional Sport Organisation (RSO) is sometimes referred to as an association and is the governing body for specific sport or sports within the region.  The RSO is also a representative body to a number of sports clubs who affiliate to the organisation.

What is a Sports Club?

A Sports Club is an organisation that provides sport specific opportunities for everyone in the community.  The opportunities range from participation, officiating, coaching, administration and more through the avenue of the specific sport within the club.

The alignment of NSO's, RSO's and clubs is crucial to the development of sport.
