Winter 2008
Scorching Duathlons - These monthly events cater for every level, from beginner duathlete to the elite. Instead of hibernating for the winter why not get out and complete a Scorching Duathlon, based at Scorching Bay.
Capital Multisport Duathlon Series - The final three events of the series (July, September & October) will be held at either Rimutaka Park or Shelley Bay.
Capital Multisport Run/Walk Series - 'Run' in conjunction with the Duathlon Series, but caters for those who are not so keen on cycling, or simply don't have a bike!
Wellington Three Peak Series - Event 2 Sunday 29 June 2008. For this second event the peaks are Truby King Memorial (Melrose), Oku St Lookout (Island Bay) and Hawkins Hill radar station. You can run all three, or just do one or two.
Wellington Three Peak Series - Event 3 Sunday 27 July 2008. This is a series of events for serious runners and walkers, with a difference. Each event is over three big hills around central Wellington. For this third and final event the peaks are: Mt Victoria, Odell Reserve (Ngaio) and Wright's Hill. You can run all three, or just do one or two.
Hutt 5 Bridges Marathon - Sunday 17 August 2008. This event encompasses a marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km, so anyone can compete!
Pelorus Trust Fun Run & Walk - Sunday 16 September 2008. This event has a half marathon, 10km and 5km. The course is flat and starts on the Petone foreshore.
Tuesday Lunchtime Walks - Thursday 27 March - Saturday 27 September 2008. Walks will take place every Tuesday from Plimmer Steps. These will be a variety of brisk walks into parks, up steps and along shortcuts in central Wellington.
Mountain Biking - Tuesday 16 October 2007 - Tuesday 14 October 2008.
Scottish Country Dancing - Thursday 6 March - Thursday 6 November 2008. Learn the ballroom dancing of Scotland. No partner is required or previous experience.

Got an old bike just begging for someone else to ride it? NZ Green Bikes are a trust which does up old bikes and donates them to charity both here and overseas, and they will even pick them up!
