Overview and Results
The Wairarapa Secondary Schools Inter-Collegiate Athletics 2008 was held at Tararua College, Pahiatua on Thursday, 6th March.
There were some outstanding performances by our young athletes on the day along with 1 track record and 3 field records being broken.
Congratulations to the following athletes : Alex Fafeita of Wairarapa College broke the Junior Boys Shot Put with a distance of 11.85m along with also breaking the Junior Boys Discus with a throw of 43.28m. Courtney Fafeita also of Wairarapa College broke the Intermediate Girls Discus record with a throw of 36.29m. Alyse Jensen of Tararua College broke the Open 3000m Girls record with the time of 11 minutes 32 seconds.
