raumati beach school presents "hoe Down 2010"
An evening of laughter, line dancing and much, more. August 14th at 7.30p.m.at Kapiti College Hall. Tickets $15, available everyday from 2.45p.m. at The Raumati Beach School Office and Coastland 1-Site.Light supper provided and a bar with eftpos.Must be over 20 years of age.

Primary school children throughout kapiti will be really busy in August
The Annual Interschool Junior Tournament takes place 17 August, with games of rippa rugby, netball, hockey and football. Seniors have their turn on the 2nd of September. The action is at Mazengarb and Te Atiawa Parks for the first two tournaments.
Ōtaki schools also have an interschool fixture and they will be playing Rippa Rugby at the Domain in Ōtaki on 24th August. If you get the chance do go and support the children they are our future All Whites, Black Ferns, Silver Ferns and All Blacks.

Heartland rugby
Sunday 25th September Heartland rugby comes to Paraparaumu Domain with a game between Horo-Kapiti and the West Coast. This is several weeks into the competition so come down and support the local team.

buggy walks
These very popular events are run by Sport Wellington and Greater Wellington Regional Council. The big annual Buggy Walk happens 7th October at the Botanic Gardens. Join the fun for spot prizes, entertainment and giveaways for all.

tour of waikanae road and mountain bike event
Kāpiti Mountain Bike Club and Kāpiti Cycle Challenge have this year combined to bring you a Festival of Cycling on the 10th October.
As the Tour of Waikanae cycle event is used by many as a warm up or training event for the Taupo Cycle challenge.
The organisers have this year included a three hour mountain bike event, 25, 50, 75, 100 km rides plus a three hour Mountain Bike event, for entry and information go to www.tourofwaikanae.co.nz
