New Faces in the Community Sport Team!
26 September 2019
It's an exciting time in the Community Sport Team with three new members joining us in the last months.
Capability Advisor - Ella Pudney
Wellington born and bred, Ella has come to Sport Wellington from a leadership role in the hospitality industry. After recently completing a Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing), she is currently completing her Master’s degree in the same field. She participated in a wide range of sports growing up and has competed internationally for rowing. Ella has now switched to coaching, taking up various roles and responsibilities at Petone Rowing Club.
Ella is looking forward to using her experience and knowledge to assist Sport Wellington to strengthen the capability, capacity and performance of people in partner organisations in the greater Wellington region.
Community Partnerships Advisor - Serafin Dillon
Serafin will be facilitating and supporting partnerships using a community-led approach. Her work will focus on volunteers and community partner organisations in the greater Wellington region.
She has a background in human services/healthcare, most recently having her own psychotherapy and consulting practice. Serafin brings knowledge in the area of customer experience design, which is the practice of designing products/services with the focus on the quality and thoughtfulness of the user experience. This is a relatively new way of thinking, and it will be great to have Serafin adding to our collective knowledge at Sport Wellington.
Young people advisor (0-7) - Rebecca Raymond
Rebecca enjoys working with people and is looking forward to getting to know the Wellington community. She has a degree in Psychology and has a passion for promoting the importance of childhood development. Originating from Manchester, Rebecca has been working as a teacher in England for the past three years.
Her role as Young People Advisor is to support the promotion and education of physical literacy and fundamental movement skills for children up to seven years of age by working closely with partner organisations who have a focus on young people.
We wish all of our new Community Sport Team members the best of luck in their new roles and look forward to seeing their engagement with the greater Wellington region throughout the year.
