Ready Set Golf (Wellington Golf Inc.)

The programme is suitable for students in Years 3-8. A fun follow up session at a local golf club provides students with the opportunity to bring all their skills together to play a modified form of golf. Transport to and from the club is provided. They can also find out where and how they can keep playing golf.

Ready Set Golf is a fun programme which contains all the elements of golf, but in a modified form that is safe, easy to learn and can be played anywhere - inside or outside.

AFL KiwiKick (AFL NZ)

This program is delivered in partnership with AFL New Zealand, KiwiSport and Sport Wellington, Secondary Schools and Primary Schools to teach and enhance core motor body skills while teaching the sport of AFL KiwiKick.  AFL KiwiKick is an exciting NON CONTACT SPORT that uses the core skills of kick, catch, pass and bounce!

Shuttle Time (Wellington North Badminton Association)

Shuttle Time is a programme that aims to give kids of all ages and abilities an enjoyable and accessible experience to Badminton. It focus on fundamental movements such as hand eye coordination, agility, speed and balance along with allowing pupils to gain experience in team based environments.

Small Sticks in Schools (Hockey)

Small Sticks is a school based programme for New Zealand children aged 4 to 13, which introduces children to the sport of hockey at the level commensurate with their ability. It develops basic fundamental skills while also introducing hockey specific skills in the appropriate setting and with the Hockey New Zealand recommended game format.

  • Four coaching sessions per class delivered by an accredited coach
  • A teacher in service training session to familiarise teachers with the basic skills of hockey
  • A festival day at the completion of the programme
  • A school resource kit, including 30 sticks and 30 balls (valued at $1,400), and coaching resources to keep in your school
  • Marketing material to help engage and inform students and their parents

SuperStar Cricket Female Focused (Cricket Wellington)

The aim of this project is to enhance the quantity and quality of schoolgirls playing and experiencing cricket while ensuring adequate coach & teacher training for long term sustainability. It focuses include Super Star Cricket, New Zealand Post Primary School Tournaments, club registrations and zone teams.

Superstar Cricket is an entry level programme, best suited to boys and girls from 5-14 years old, and designed to help participants learn the basics of cricket in an enjoyable and exciting environment. It’s an inclusive, made-for-age game and its benefits extend far beyond the game of cricket. At its core Superstar Cricket provides children with opportunities to experience the value of team-work and active cooperation in a supportive and non-competitive framework. It creates an action-packed, fun atmosphere in which each participant feels fully involved.

Capital Basketball (Capital Zone Basketball Trust)

This program is delivered with support from KiwiSport and Sport Wellington. Kiwi Hoops provides fun and enjoyable learning and participation games for young people from 5 to 13 years of age. Kiwi Hoops is part of BBNZ’s Player Development Programme and focuses on teaching fundamental movement and ball skills through modified games.

Pedal Ready Cycle Skills Training

Pedal Ready’s NZQA certified instructors deliver cycle skills compliant with the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Cycle Skills Guidelines. This three tiered training programme is designed to teach both children and adults how to cycle safely and confidently on the road with awareness and respect for other road users.

Pedal Ready covers training for Grades One and Two for schools. We usually teach students between Years 4-8. If you would like to arrange training for younger students, we can offer a modified programme. Please contact us to discuss.

Get Set Go / Run Jump Throw (Athletics)

Get Set Go is a new and exciting initiative from Athletics NZ. It is designed for young children between ages 4-8 and helps them master the skills that will make participation in games, sport and recreation activities more enjoyable and successful. Available to all schools in the Wellington, Kapiti, Porirua and Lower Hutt regions.

Run Jump Throw is Athletics New Zealand foundation programme for teaching athletics specific skills to kids aged 5-11. It’s based on the philosophy that the development of skills, in a fun environment, is the key to participation. The emphasis is on the development of fundamental movement patterns, and is the foundation to correct movement techniques. We understand that every school is different so we have created a programme that is flexible and can easily fit into every school throughout New Zealand.

Football In Schools is part of the NZ wide Whole of Football plan and has been developed to integrate several aspects of the National Curriculum. The programme uses Football to cover manipulative skills as well as develop agility, spacial awareness and team work. moveMprove (Gym Sports)

Learning to Swim is a vital skill for all Kiwi kids. It develops water safety and builds self confidence and self awareness. Available to all schools in the Wellington, Kapiti, Porirua and Lower Hutt regions.

moveMprove is a nationwide foundation skills programme that provides children with the opportunity to experience and participate in movement that will develop skills required to play all types of sports and recreational activities. Available to all schools in the Wellington, Kapiti, Porirua and Lower Hutt regions.
