Stadium Sports Festivals

FREE Ride Leader workshops are being held on 12 & 13 May! In these workshops you will learn how to lead a great ride through the principles of Adventure, Wellbeing and Enjoyment. Delivered in partnership with Wellington City Council, Hutt City Council, Pedal Ready and Sport Wellington.

Netball Central Zone are hosting Silver Ferns Performance Analyst Dr Bobby Willcox on May 3rd to discuss performance analysis methods and strategies. This workshop will assist coaches to understand the statistical elements of sport at an elite level - see poster for details.

Congratulations to our very own Ken Allen on being named Volunteer of the Year at the Wellington Phoenix FC's End of Season Awards night! Ken is Sport Wellington's Volunteer Strategy Senior Advisor and has been volunteering on match days for the Phoenix since they were founded back in 2007. Ken dedicates a huge part of his to life to growing volunteerism and this award is greatly deserved, well done Ken!

Getting Started in Coaching courses are back! Sport Wellington’s Getting Started in Coaching courses are being rolled out through April & May for community coaches! These courses provide a great foundation for coaches to move into sport specific coach development, registration is FREE. The Shift Challenge is a FREE accelerator programme for all types of young Wellington women who want to make a difference to the wellbeing of other young women in their community. Congratulations to Team Wellington for booking a spot in the Stirling Sports Premiership final against Auckland City for the second year in a row! The final will be held on Sunday at QBE Stadium in Auckland, good luck guys! #TeeDubs

Come along to Westpac Stadium today (4.15pm to 5.30pm) and meet Chris Wood, Glen Moss and a number of the All Whites. There will be opportunities for photos and autographs, so bring your favourite shirt, ball or boots and show your support for the team! Entry to the signing session along with parking is free. Public entry will be through Aisle 20 and the signing session will take place on the field. Wet weather alternative will be in the Concourse.
