Chair Yoga

Gentle Start

Chair yoga is a breath lead movement class, suitable for anyone. The class takes traditional yoga movements and adapts them for use whilst seated on a chair or standing with the chair as a balance aid. Ideal for improving joint mobility, stretching and strengthening as well as supporting the mind-body connection.

Strength and Balance class which is a both seated/standing programme with emphasis on fun with specific, meaningful movements and activities. Encourages high effort, intensity, powerful movements of big amplitude. This class is only accessible to people with Parkinson’s and those living within The Masonic Village.

DaNZability

Gentle Start

Low to medium intensity. Seated, standing & across the floor choreography. Fun and effective adapted dance class where you will be encouraged to work at your own level and enjoy moving your body. This class will have aspects of strengthening, balance, co-ordination, rhythm, stretching as well as creativity. The group often enjoys a cup of tea together after class. Support person encouraged especially if participant has balance difficulties.
